Birthday gift
We gave our daughter a digital pen for her birthday so she could start learning how to draw on the tablet. The reason that we thought this was a good gift is because when her father was on a business trip, she used paint and a plain old wired mouse (read: not smooth at all!) on the laptop to draw things.
To my surprise, she was so patient doing so and even created some very cool things. I believe they weren't saved for some reason, I still have to check that later because I just realised this while typing this paragraph. So technically this is not her first digital art, but it's the first with a pen meant to draw on a screen rather than using a pencil, marker or brush.
She loves it!
As we suspected, she instantly started drawing with it when she returned from school and she had a task on her hands because father's day was coming up so she already knew what she was going to draw for him. I can tell you the end result looks much better but I wanted to make sure we have her very first scribbles on the tablet forever on the blockchain and therefore I wrote this post today.
I present to you
Her father:
The pictures above are also made with my phone so a picture of a screen because I yet have to find out how to transfer files from that thing. You see, we had the tablet for a while now but I never, ever, use it myself and my boyfriend is way too busy to bother him with these things now so I will just put that on my to do list for a day in the weekend or so.
I hope she's talented
Secretly, or not so secretly, I hope she loves the digital drawing thing and has the feeling for it to draw as if she'd would on paper because she's so creative and I can see how she would be amazing at this. I'm going to read some more about how to properly use the software on the tablet (no idea which one it is) next week or so but now I'm deliberately letting her try things herself to see how far she comes. She's from a different generation after all..
Unicorn
I think for this drawing, she took Luna as an example and added some colours. It looks funny though, don't you think?
I'm really curious what she creates next and how fast she'll get the touch of digital painting. She now has a pen that belongs with this tablet but if it turns out she's really good at it, we will surely upgrade that over time. Either way, her first digital artworks with her digital pen are now on the blockchain forever for her to look back!
How cool is that :)
Needless to say that the pictures above are mine...

It's the first time she is drawing using digital supplies , still she made a very beautiful drawing. You should appreciate her for every drawing she make (as you would be doing surely) so that she feels good and make many more.
