Connection Through the Art
Good-looking one from the Hassan. Right at the moment, he hit my "artist's spot", inspiration and motivation lit up for me like a light bulb in a split second as I adore minimalistic/simplistic, yet precise art.Today I'm proudly presenting the beautiful collaboration between a great person and even greater artist @khodadadpoor.art and me. Few days ago I was scrolling through the posts and suddenly bumped on the catchy and
To clarify the situation immediately, I don't personally know him, I've met him here on the Hive Community and at the first sight i fell in love at his drawing. That inspiration I've mentioned didn't stay "just inspiration" so I managed to engage with him and ask for his permission. The common thing that bind us two is ART, and actually nothing else, which is beautiful thing if you ask me. He's amazing painter and excellent in drawing, my honest lay opinion.
- This is my finalized version - in digital form inspired by his drawing.
His drawing was made by the hand, and my version was made in Adobe Illustrator 2020 - digital artwork. As a graphic designer, I do a lot of digital content, from image editing, photomanipulation, all the way to the production and making of huge complicated 3d works, but this was the first time in my life I managed to do something like this, following someone else’s creation.
Hassan's ORIGINAL ARTWORK - @khodadadpoor.art
In life, in general, I'm the kind of person that likes everything to be how it should be - people would say a perfectionist, but also, I'm not the fan of labeling people. Everything is not "white & black". In my opinion the whole gray scale matters.
Guided by that thought I made this digital drawing and here is the process.
- For the start, I've made a screenshot from his clip, put it on the background with 40% opacity so I can't get lost
- Finishing some of the details right on the start. I'm a fan of doing things from the beginning to the start, then I move on to the next detail.
- Basic form on this is finished and I've got a nice base for thinking and creating colors and gradients.
- As the original art is black&white I managed to keep it simple. On the newer version of the Adobe Illustrator there's new gradient tool, which I used for the first time. I'm still not 100% satisfied, but it looks nice so I kept it that way.
- The last thing was finalizing the artwork with the colorful background. As this looked like some creature in the deep ocean to me, I've picked blue color palette which adds nice feelings in it.

I would like to thank great guy Hassan this way for giving me permission to make this. Thank you for the inspiration, motivation and actually unintentionally making me learning new things. I'm really glad I'm here on the Hive community having all of the creative and original creators around me all the way!
