RE: 2 Days Until The PsyberX Gameplay Footage - LVL Token

in GEMS3 years ago (edited)

I think so far the psyberx team has shown that these allegations have not held up very well.

FACT: Their portfolio page showed other peoples unity assets as if their own creation.

FACT: Once I pointed them out, most were removed from their portfolio page. Why?

FACT: After removing them they then claimed it was what their clients asked for and could afford, ignoring the fact that they didn't disclose this anywhere on their portfolio page which misleads people into thinking their own studio created the work. A portfolio page is to show your work, not screenshots of others work.

FACT: The actual creators of the assets confirmed they were their assets and were not happy about RRS displaying them as their own work and stated it's basically what scammers do.

FACT: The games they showed as their creation were noob level and/or cheap white label quality. In other words, any serious game developer would laugh them off and warn you that the elaborate claims they were making could not likely be accomplished.

FACT: They are not building "the biggest blockchain game yet in the industry".

FACT: They toned down that message after my post and claimed it was just marketing, thereby IMHO confirming that what I said was true and what they claimed was false and was intentionally misleading.

FACT: 5 months later they still have no game to show. The "leaked" footage shows what appears to be cheap Unity assets with a cheap third-person controller. This is basically prefab level quality that can be purchased for under $200 and modified within a few hours at most. I don't expect the coming footage to be much more than what we've already seen except with more pew pew pew pow pow pow and multiplayer (which can be purchased for under $100).

For under $100 you can buy a complete white label game with online multiplayer support in different regions, tons of weapons and different game modes. You can then add your own characters, weapons, effects, etc and make it appear to be different. I've done it myself to learn Unity.

But again, this is noob level Unity dev stuff and as I said in my original post, this appears to be exactly what they're doing and have done in the past, hoping no one noticed and if caught just make an excuse that the uninformed will buy.

Give me $100K and I'll sell you a $100 Unity white label game with full multiplayer support. It will take me 15 minutes to complete, but I'll drag it out for months for appearances sake. I'll even put the word "Hive" in the title for another $20,000. (;

So, what did I get wrong? Please elaborate.

Did I miss something? I've checked in on the project every few weeks and I've seen nothing new, just more NFT selling to bring them in more money. The Hive Community seems happy to "pump & dump their token for profit" (actual words from an investor) and see a poorly formatted post from them every week saying things are progressing.

But I don't see any actual progress yet. I see more of the same cheap Unity assets, environments, third-person controller and effects. Have they integrated the likely white label game into the Hive blockchain? That would be a start towards progress.

Showing what can be purchased for a couple hundred dollars on the Unity store is what noobs and scammers do routinely on Steam (and get caught) and that's all I've seen so far (plus excuses), but I'm willing to hold out hope for the sake of the Hive Community!

I'm just calling it as I see it. If I'm wrong, great! If I'm right, I warned you. Either way I can't lose. (;

I like you Tuck, but I can't agree on this. Before Splinterlands came out or even had a card - it was close to a year in the making with artwork and storylines and gameplay suggestion that I was personally aware of. People gave them shit and they knew they weren't going to get much community backing through a proposal or anything. So, they stayed the course and fought their way through the trenches. I had faith and spent my money on it with the hopes that they would create something awesome.

And they did. In the grand scope, @psyberx is coming through much faster than #Splinterlands did. A lot of that has to do with the LVL token sales - Splinterlands didn't have that (at the time - though now they have DEC, SPS, VOUCHERS, and hundreds of other things that can generate revenue for the game and the players).

Is it risky to invest? Fuck ya! So was Bitcoin. So was Ethereum. So was HIVE. It's all a risk, there are no guarantees on anything. I can guarantee one thing though, the more people that accept and try to help with what they are doing, the more successful Hive as whole will be and that is why I bought in so early and have been supporting their journey.

I hear you, and I still think that there was some strange behavior on their side which calls for caution. But I think you should also acknowledge that the communication on their side was pretty good so far. Would scammers go through all of this trouble? And by that I also mean being active on discord, answering questions, addressing problems etc. Maybe... but I'll give them the benefit of the doubt in light of the (limited) things they released. We'll know more tomorrow and after their AMA.

Breh.. I spent 2.5 months on a BSC shitcoin project called Nudescoin.. and I kept saying the same shit..
"Would scammers go through this much trouble" the original dev was highly active till he quit and dumped on us..
Then the community who didn't wanted it to fail picked up the reigns.. we were really active, and we actually had a handful of models sign up to work with us..

Long story short.. it failed.. Miserably.. the only ones I'm giving the benefit of the dought is @spknetwork / @threespeak and hive-blockchain / tokenized social media.

sure, it is definitely the safer decision. We'll see soon enough

Just wish there wasnt such a huge spread between this new footage, and the AMA..
I dont think Psyber X's audience is going to be growing very much in between that time. and the AMA could be used for much better marketing than gameplay footage and an offer to join the discord. ooh well.. thats the problem with my generation.. we want everything now!

You are 100% correct in saying investing in a game that is not developed is the riskiest you can find!

This game is funded, I always write do not invest and usually add, until you can play as we are not looking for just investors yet primarily gamers to onboard to HIVE and create HIVE wallets giving the community free tokens for helping.

Imagine we fail in our investment you can say you were right yet to bring gamers to HIVE all the meanwhile is a positive move with all the games already here right?

So people can tweet/blog about blogging and gaming for earnings and share some links and mention how hot PsyberX looks with the video coming out tomorrow and earn free LVL token a number of ways. Giving over $2,000 USD in LVL out in contests and nearly $100 per person for a social poster/video share challenge now and much more coming to give more tokens to the community.

Even though we give it out the market just won't go down, I say stop buying yet people don't listen so why not jump on board win some free tokens and onboard people to HIVE? Invest nothing but some time onboarding with a hot game that could be the greatest HIVE game.

discord link in the message, I look forward to likeminded careful people and if you are into FPS... what are you waiting for? as for 3speak I would love to see the new streaming platform come up as streamers will join founders in testing the demo coming Q2

It's hard not to follow someone like you! I'm just waiting for the gameplay and the ama to dive in :)

Thanks for the kind comment & same to you! maybe we will form a guild!

Seriously.. this is why I'm not even entertaining the lvl token until: A. Tokenomics are finalized, and B. The game is done being designed C. Seeing actual gameplay.

agreed, come win some tokens do not invest a dime! nearly $100 is easy to get per person in LVL which you can sell market is looking great for sellers

True if you are wrong it is great for HIVE and many other games. If you are right we are at least giving tokens to the community for help bringing gamers to
HIVE. The developer has been open with us about using Unity assets yet purchasing many editing them to create a different look than many we can see the blatant copy paste of assets. It is funny other Devs attack and say this kind of game can't be made in under 10 years with a team then diss the unity assets. If a designer sells assets on Unity should they claim ownership or brag that they designed and sold that as a professional designer? yet I do hear Unity sells assets multiple times and says once to pay creators less... Either way I agree and tell people to not invest, the game is funded and will have our demo Q2 or not, they have hired a few DEV's maybe you could have got a job and be able to see from the inside what is really going on. Anyway I hope you can watch tomorrows video and lets discuss it again?

Is your real name Alex Pecker?
