Faced extreme cold weather during trekking.

Hello friends

I hope you all are fine. I'm fine too. In today's post I will talk to you about my Dzongri trek during January. This trek was a really wonderful experience for us. Because we had to turn back after reaching halfway in this track. During this trek we had to endure a lot of snowfall. Due to which this trek had to be left halfway and turned back. This trek was ours for 6 days. Which begins with Yuksom. The journey to Yuksom is by vehicle and from there on foot trekking begins.

The Dzongri trek is located at an altitude of 12120 feet. Getting there starts from Yuksom. We started from Yuksom and reached Bhakim and from there we reached Tshoka. Where we had to stay the night. It snowed a lot during the night. And the next day the snow didn't stop. If it had closed the next day we would have moved on. So our trek operator suggested us to stay in Tshoka for one more day. Because it was not advisable to proceed during the snowfall. We are not even professional trackers who can fight the odd situation. So we validated the trek operator. He also told us that if we leave one day and the next day the weather becomes favorable, we will move on to Dzongri. But looking at the weather at the time, I didn't think it would be clear. But there was still hope in our minds that we would move on. The second day started with heavy snowfall. The snow turned again on our next program. We stayed 2 days and 2 nights at Tshoka. We enjoyed the beauty of nature from there. During these 2 days when we got time we visited the peak which was near Tshoka. Those were really beautiful scenes.

Good the post.

Thank you friend..

Thaks to.

Its almost scary to look the misty mountains from above. I like how you all wear the same color gaiters in the last photo. Red and White ! Visibility is important. I did plenty of mountain trekking in the past but never in winter. My highest trekking was 3900 m.

I really liked that you all liked the gaiters of the same red and white color in this photo. It comes differently in these photos. We do trekking mainly in winter. Which gives a new experience every time. Thank you visit my friend.

I have black ones, never had any chance to use them. I go camping occasionaly but my equipments are not suitable for winter. I want to experience the winter camping and trekking next winter if all this covid-19 situation is over by then. And its hard to find a companion to come with you in such a cold weather :D My friend circle generally prefer spring seasons.

You should experience winter trekking once. Once you do that you will always go on a winter trek. Because it is very fun. This is my choice. Everyone's choice is different but you will like it.

It's like of white land...snowy and chilled....I can feel shivering....I hope this one was from last year...

It was a really beautiful scene that I will never forget. thanks for visit my friend..

Indeed a must visit place...hope to go there someday

you must visit there. even it is near to your home town...
