I'm here again on this amazing platform to share with you all about a vital information regarding amazing plants called Christmas melon popularly known as (TAGIRI) in and Yoruba and it is known for its medicinal benefits especially in poultry birds.
like I said earlier that Christmas melon is known for its medicinal benefits in poultry birds as it is antiviral medicine which used in prevention different viral diseases in livestock farming or poultry farming such as Newcastle disease, Marek's disease and so on. Christmas melon is also an immune system booster in poultry farming.
PREPARATION OF CHRISTMAS MELON (TAGIRI)
Christmas melon popularly known as TAGIRI in my own region is another means to ward off viral diseases in livestock farming and it's an alternative to artificial vaccine in poultry farming.
Christmas melon can be given to poultry birds through water administering and below are the process of preparation;
Christmas melon is very cheap but potent and you can get from people selling herbs and it's grow around us.
The first thing to do when preparing Christmas melon is washing and after that, you have to peel off the back of Christmas melon.
Then, the next thing is to cut the Christmas melon in to little size and put it inside a jar or plastic cover.
Add water above the Christmas melon inside a jar or plastic with cover and left it for five to seven days to properly ferment.
I prefer to left the Christmas melon in a plastic with cover for seven days to ferment properly which will make it very effective.
After fermentation, the next thing is to sieve out the Christmas melon shaft and squeeze out the water.
The last thing to do is to add water to the water gotten from the Christmas melon depending on the numbers of birds.
I hope you find this write up useful and thanks for stopping by on my blog and have a wonderful day.
