Good day all, I hope we are doing great despite the Coronavirus pandemic outbreak.
Well, with my 27 years experience here on earth, I wanna share my experience with the people we call "friends".
I know that we all at some point need one friend or the other because we just can't be lonely but we really need to know the kind of friends we keep and how their character affects our daily lives. As the popular slogan says, "show me your friend and I'll tell you who you are" means that the kind of friends we roll with tells so much about our individual personalities though at some point doesn't define us.
-Below are the little points I think you should consider when choosing a friend; even though you can easily browse the internet to get all of these, I just took upon myself to share the obligations a good friend must fulfil:
- You should also should be able to make friends that can be able to help you out whenever you're in a situation OR atleast try to show little bit of concerns towards helping you.
- Make friends with people that strive to be better people in life who will continue to push you to break your limit and attain greater heights. These type of friends will always bring new ways to do solving problems because I strongly believe that when there's a will, there's a way.
- Make sure you can distinguish between ordinary friends and loyal friends. This is very important because when trial times arises, believe me when I say that it is only your loyal friends that will be with you through thick and thin.
- Trust. If you don't trust someone,how on earth can we let that person come close to us?.. I sincerely see TRUST as the most important trait a friend must exhibit. You must be able. To have atleast one person that you can trust with your life even when the whole world is against you.
- Make friends with people who are good listeners and non-judgmental. If you have someone you can freely talk to whenever you're in a dilemma without being castigated or rebuked, then your circle is good. When you have people who even at midnight can give u listening ear without criticizing, then cherish them very well.
- Make friends that are not afraid to correct you when you err. I know some of us hate being corrected when we misbehave or do things wrongly, by how are we supposed to improve if we're corrected and pointed at the right direction. When you have that friends or friends who will tell you whenever you do good or bad without twisting words, you're a very lucky person.
I can keep going on and on about the qualities we expect from a friend but I guess you already know them. My point is, make friends that are worthy of your sacrifices and love.
