This is life for you, today it's all rosy and tomorrow it's in shambles. Coronavirus has really taught me so much about life. It's has taught me not to be very expectant of anything until it's achieved.
Year 2019 was great and all but we all we all had greater expectations about year 2020 without knowing that something almost bigger that the world which shut down almost all parts of the world would occur.
I'm a Nigerian, from the southeasthern part and we all know that nigeria is a Third World country. So when the pandemic started, nigerians were very afraid that the masses will suffer as the country wasnt equipped to fight the virus in the least but we were able to adhere to the safety precautions of healthy living for the fight against coronavirus which were:
- Washing our hands regularly
- Sanitizing our hands
- Wearing our face masks
- Staying one meter apart from the next person etc
Before the pandemic kicked in, we pretty enjoyed our lives almost everyday from weekdays to weekends. As a young man, I always expected weekends to come sooner. Not because of the fact that I was free on work during the weekends but the fun that comes with it like playing ps2 with the boys, playing snooker, football and the rest. I also had time to hang out with peeps and all.. Weekends were really enjoyable. But since the kick-in of the coronavirus, companies, schools, stadiums, factories, churches, mosques, clubs and bars closed too with the exception of hospitals and other health facilities.
The pictures below are the my various hangouts and how empty it has become because of the pandemic.
Our play station quarters
Our snooker stand
Our table tennis quarters
Many countries are starting to recover from the pandemic with China leading that train. Well tomorrow is the beginning of another month (June), we really hope that it will be better and of course "coronavirus free". So till our various health department and governments tells us to resume our normal duties, I urge us to remain safe by observing all safety protocols and always make sure to check on our loved ones. Like other viruses, covid-19 too shall pass.
All pictures were taken by me.
