Cant say I’m cursed but… Gifts are not really my thing whenever it comes to the receiving end.
I never really get gifts that much, I honestly don’t know why, I’m always the one giving. Buhhh I’m actually cool with it though 😎
So since I’m a giver and nobody really gives me, 😎i decided to Gift myself a self Potrait for a birthday.
I think i should do a very brief intro because THIS IS MY VERY FIRST TIME POSTING ON THIS COMMUNITY 💕 😊
I’m VCT A Singer, Songwriter, photographer and Fine Artist, I lean towards the Hyperrealistic genre of fine art though I’m enthusiastic about Art in general and ways to make a living off my craft via the web3 space.
I HOPE I’M WELCOME HERE 😎 😇
So, I started out the journey to gift myself and immediately after a couple of hours, I got discouraged, 😑😔
It’s probably because i was drawing myself from live, as in I was using a mirror and standing in front of it for hours, trying to keep the same expression 🥹 then I felt like i should just stay gift-less this year 👀 (There’s certainly no word like that 😂) but i mean, i really got discouraged and lost interest.
But I carried on,... 😎
One thing definite about the Hyperrealistic genre is the fact that it takes time and patience
And to top it all up, I work also so it was not really easy making time for drawing so it delayed.
But although it took a while and it’s taking longer than expected, were heading somewhere and id be done with the perfect gift.
I’d post the updates later as it progresses but for now… here’s what we got 😊
I personally think self love is underrated
And i think one has to first love him/herself to be able to love others.
So as long as I’m concerned, THIS IS THE PERFECT GIFT
