Desde que era pequeña, siempre me gustaron los animales. De hecho, crecí con la experiencia de haber tenido perros y gatos. Mi hermana mayor era la "señora de los gatos", aún lo es ja, ja, ja.
Ever since I was a little girl, I have always loved animals. In fact, I grew up with the experience of having dogs and cats. My older sister was the “cat lady”, she still is ha, ha, ha, ha.

Cuando forme mi familia, y me fui a vivir a otro estado, no pensé que volvería a tener mascotas. Mis hijas, al igual que yo, también son apasionadas por los animales, sobre todo la menor. Como su tía, quiere rescatar a cuanto gato ve por las calles.
When I started my family, and moved to another state, I didn't think I would ever have pets again. My daughters, like me, are also passionate about animals, especially my youngest. Like her aunt, she wants to rescue every cat she sees on the streets.
Ahora vivimos en Maracay, y contamos con tres perritos, un gatito y unas cuantas gallinas que nos colaboran con sus huevitos para desayunar. Anteriormente, tuvimos un par de conejos, pero lamentablemente murieron.
Now we live in Maracay, and we have three dogs, a kitten and a few chickens that help us with their eggs for breakfast. Previously, we had a couple of rabbits, but unfortunately they died.
Conozco gente que no le gustan los animales. No entiendo como no pueden gustarle los peluditos, si ellos son tan lindos. Cuando veo a alguien así, me da mucha tristeza, porque no saben lo lindo que es que uno de ellos te reciban a diario con cariño.
I know people who do not like animals. I don't understand how they can't like the furry ones, if they are so cute. When I see someone like that, it makes me very sad, because they don't know how nice it is that one of them welcomes you with affection every day.
Tengo una prima que tiene aversión por los animales, y es muy triste, porque le enseñó eso a sus hijos, y ahora estos le tienen miedo a los perros, gatos y otros animales.
I have a cousin who has an aversion to animals, and it is very sad, because she taught that to her children, and now they are afraid of dogs, cats and other animals.
Por eso, siempre les he enseñado a mis hijas que debemos respetar a los animales, y peleamos con la gente que los maltrata. Los animales no deben ser atacados si no están dañando a nadie. En lugar de eso, debemos ayudarlos, darles comida y refugio. Si no podemos, entonces es mejor llamar a las autoridades pertinentes.
That is why I have always taught my daughters that we must respect animals, and we fight with people who mistreat them. Animals should not be attacked if they are not harming anyone. Instead, we should help them, give them food and shelter. If we cannot, then it is better to call the relevant authorities.
Así que recuerden, no le hagan daño a los animales. Menos si ellos no pueden defenderse.
So remember, don't harm animals. Especially if they cannot defend themselves.
