I suddenly thought of a friend who I met while traveling in Guatemala a few years back. His life is like a rollercoaster and so is mine. Though, he got off a rollercoaster a few years ago and seems to be happy not feeling so dizzy no more.
His life is random.
2015 - I met him when he was budget traveling in Central America. He still works at a clothing store somewhere in San Francisco.
2016 - He planned on traveling to Thailand and he did. He ended up living for a year+ Teaching English and living with a Thai girlfriend almost seriously.
2017 - He said he worked in a Marijuana farm somewhere in Northern California and travel around with his badass broken truck he bought for $1200
2018 - He attended a 3-month coding bootcamp where you don't need to pay for tuition fee until you get a job. It was really intensive course.. He almost went crazy. He said sex during lunchbreak was needed.
2019 - He went for an interview without any college degree or diploma or anything. He got a job at Microsoft.
A few days ago I video called him just to catch up on all things. He's now happy with his well paid and now he's also happily married to a beautiful Japanese-Canadian wife.
It got me thinking that anything can change at anytime. Especially if we look at his life timeline. There's nothing related to the others but he made it to where he's super-duper happy in life.
If that's not inspiring, i don't know what is.
