The one thing I've always admired about you, since beginning to interact with you, is how much you do engage. It's pretty amazing. I'll admit to suffering some occasional jealousy when I'm only able to log on meaningfully once a week or so. 😃
For the most part Hive is full of people who want to have fun, share recipes, pictures, and otherwise bring some colour to a dreary pandemic filled world without the falseness that happens on other social media sites. It's a welcome respite and much like kicking back with a coffee and a friend.
Thanks mate, I appreciate it. The only reason I can engage like I do is that I have the time. My work permits it. I tend to answer people quite quickly also as I found that keeping up with it is preferable to leaving it and trying to do a whole lot of comments, like I am now. I've just woken up on Saturday morning to a pile of comments to reply to because of the #weekend-engagement topic I released last night. I'll get to them all though.
I like your last paragraph and agree completely...It feels more real here, although what Facebook and co feel like is a mystery to me these days as hive is my only social media. If hive disappeared I'd not have any.
The coffee and friend comment is so true...One can pick and choose what they want to do; Hang around with someone familiar or seek out something new, hit up a community or just try one's luck on the all posts feed...It's nice.
