Sunset at the Hospital

in GEMSlast month

Hello everyone! I would have posted this yesterday but I was too tired and fell asleep with the lights on 😅 I don't even remember how that happened. I think I just closed my eyes for a second and went straight to Dreamland.

Here are some pictures of the when the sun was setting yesterday. This one seems to be the best I clicked.

This was taken through the window because I didn't realize there was a proper opening for me to take pictures. This was in the parking area of Pusat Perubatan Universiti Malaya (PPUM) aka University Malaya Medical Centre. My aunty has been hospitalised there due to some health issues.

This is how the building landmark looks like from far.

This is after entering the hospital compound.

We arrived at the hospital earlier than the visiting hours. Maybe around 30 minutes earlier so we were waiting at the waiting area for the time to visit. It was very cold due to full air-conditioning.

This is at the lift section. I took this picture to check it to see which floor my aunty was in. I didn't want to go there multiple times to check. I might end up blocking the pathway as more patients were coming to get admitted and some were being discharged.

Actually my family and I wouldn't have gone on the trip to Penang if we knew earlier. We only got to know about her health status after my uncle informed us and seems like my aunty has been downplaying her health issues the whole time. He informed everyone and only then we all got to know about it. We visited her at her home a day before going on the trip and pestered her to get it checked at the hospital. Unfortunately we couldn't cancel the trip as the payment was already made and it was non-refundable.

She was in the emergency ward at first and no one could visit her but two days ago she was shifted to a regular ward and everyone could finally visit. Turns out, her sugar levels were extremely low. We are talking as low as 1. Can you believe it? Even the doctors were shocked and tested the levels again to make sure and it was still showing 1. So now she is being given some glucose and the doctors are trying to figure out what could have caused this and the edema she had beforehand.

Upon leaving when the visiting hours ended, we were so confused on how to get to the parking area. Its because one of the doors gets locked after a certain time so we have to use a different way to get there. It was our first time at this hospital so we accidentally went to the wrong parking space. The good thing that came out of it is that I saw this beautiful orange sunset taking place and took some pictures. Only then I decided to share this story.

This was taken by my father. I think it looks way better than my pictures.

Another picture clicked by my father. I really liked the colourful lights.

We brought some homecooked food for my aunty. My cousin who is her daughter fed her and informed me that she ate well. Hopefully my aunty gets better and becomes healthy again soon. I suggest everyone reading this to take good care of your health. If there's an issue please get it checked soon and not wait. Thank you for dropping by and have a wonderful day ahead.
