A process of combining three images of heavenly gods that merge with the earth, and see and read the story of the gods in this post. And I on behalf of @yesus4lexr added this union with the profile picture of @appreciator.
About gods and goddesses according to the bible
The gods who have been and are still worshiped by nations are man's creations, made by imperfect and "unreasonable" people, who "replace the immortality of God with an imitation form of mortal man, from birds, from quadrupeds, and from creeping things.
Therefore, it is not surprising that these gods reflect various imperfections and weaknesses of their imperfect worshipers.A Hebrew word used for false idols or gods literally means something that is "worthless" or "useless".
The Bible calls Satan the Devil "the god of this system."The proof that Satan is the "god" mentioned in that verse is clearly shown next in verse 4 which says that this god has "blinded the minds of unbelievers".
he is said to "mislead the whole inhabited earth".Satan's control of the present system, including existing governments, is demonstrated when he offers Jesus "all the kingdoms of the world" in exchange for "an act of worship".
The worship that humans address their idol gods is actually addressed "to ghosts and not to God".
Jehovah God demands exclusive devotion. Those who worship idol gods reject the true God and thus serve the interests of Jehovah's main enemy, Satan, and his ghosts.
Although the Bible mentions a number of gods and goddesses worshiped by ancient nations, the identity of the gods is not always specifically known.
The Origins of the Gods. It is by no means a coincidence that there are striking similarities between the gods of ancient nations.
Regarding this, J. Garnier wrote: "Not only Egyptians, Chaldeans, Phoenicians, Greeks, and Romans, but also Hindus, Buddhists from China and from Tibet, the Got, Anglo-Saxons, Druids, Mexicans and Peruvians.Aboriginal people from Australia, and even uncivilized people in the South L.Islands, must have gotten their religious ideas from the same source and the same center.Everywhere we find surprising similarities in terms of rites, ceremonies, customs, traditions, and in the name and connection between their gods."
Evidence from the Bible points to the land of Shinar as the birthplace of various false religious concepts in the post-Flood era.
Undoubtedly under the direction of Nimrod, "a mighty hunter who opposed Jehovah," the building of the city of Babylon and its minaret began, most likely a zigurat for false worship.
This construction project was carried out, not to bring honor to Jehovah God, but for the glory of the builders themselves, who were eager to make 'their name famous'.
After all, the project was totally at odds with God's purpose, which wanted humanity to spread throughout the earth.
Almighty God frustrates the plans of these builders by messing up their language. Because they could no longer understand each other, they gradually stopped building the city and scattered.
Regarding the scattered people, wherever they went, they brought along their false religion, which was then practiced with new provisions, in a new language, and in a new location. These people scattered in the days of Peleg, who was born about a century after the Flood and died at the age of 239 years. Because Noah and Sem, his son, were still alive when Peleg died, the spread occurred when people were still aware of facts about previous events, such as the Flood.
Some of this knowledge certainly remains in the memories of those who are scattered. This is shown by the fact that the mythology of the ancients contained similarities to various parts of the biblical record, but in a distorted form and contained polytheistic ideas. Some legends describe certain gods as snake killers; in addition, the religions of many ancient nations included the worship of a deity who was considered a deadly benefactor on earth, but was later revived. This might imply that the deity is actually a deified human, who is mistakenly regarded as the 'promised seed'.
Myths tell the love of the gods with women on earth and about the heroic actions of their hybrid breeds.
Nearly every nation on earth has legends about world-wide floods, and signs of the story of tower construction can also be found in various human legends.
Babylonian gods. After Nimrod's death, it makes sense that the Babylonians tended to uphold Nimrod as the founder, builder, and first king of their city and as the original organizer of the Babylonian Empire. The hereditary story states that Nimrod died horribly.Because the god Marduk (Merodakh) is considered to be the founder of Babylon, some argue that Marduk is a deified description of Nimrod.
However, experts have very diverse opinions regarding gods that are considered to be the same as certain humans.
With the passage of time, the number of the first Babylonian Empire gods increased.Pantheon or his pantheon of gods includes a number of gods, or gods and goddesses, the triad.
One of them consists of Anu (god of heaven), Enlil (god of earth, air, and storm), and Ea (god of water lord). The other three series comprise the moon god Sin, the sun god Shamas, and the fertility goddess Istar, Guest lover or companion. The Babylonians even had a triad of demons, for example Labartu, Labasu, and Akhazu. Worship of heavenly bodies is becoming popular.
and various planets associated with certain gods. Planet Jupiter is associated with Marduk, the main god of Babylon, Venus with iStar, goddess of love and fertility,Saturn with Ninurta, god of war and hunting and protector of agriculture,Mercury with Nebo, the god of wisdom and agriculture; Mars with Nergal, the god of war and pestilence and ruler of the afterlife.
Cities in ancient Babylon had their own protective deities, similar to "the patron saints". The protective god at Ur is Sin; in Eridu, Ea; in Nipur, Enlil; in Kuta, Nergal; in Borsippa, Nebo, and in the city of Babylon, Marduk (Merodakh). When Hammurabi made Babylon the capital of Babylon, the city's favorite god, Marduk, of course it became increasingly important.Eventually Marduk won the titles of the previous gods and replaced them in the Babylonian myths. Later, his personal name, "Marduk", was replaced with the title "Belu" ("Owner"), so that eventually he was more commonly referred to as the Bel.His wife was called Belit ("Women's Employer", which is unmatched).
The description of the gods in ancient Babylonian texts is truly a reflection of sinful and mortal humans. The stories say that the gods were born, loved, married, fought, and even died, as did Guestz. Out of fear of the Flood, they were said to 'curl up like dogs'. The gods are also described as being greedy, often eating to the point of shaking, and drinking until drunk. They are angry and vengeful and are suspicious of each other. There was fierce hatred between them. To illustrate: Tiamat, who was determined to destroy the other gods, was defeated by Marduk, who split it into two parts; one hemisphere used to form the sky and the other hemisphere to establish the earth.Eres-Kigal, the goddess of the afterlife, ordered Namtaru, the god of pestilence, to imprison his sister, Istar, and inflict 60 miseries on him
