Midfield

The Midfield class of ships are well balanced and capable of taking the role of both Strikers and Defenders in a pinch.

Special ability [ Over Burn ]

Midfielders are equipped with.powerful engines capable of burst of speed for a short duration. This gives them the ability to both block and intercept the discs or Strikers when they come to close. Unlike the Strikers charged shot the Over Burn ability doesn't disable the midfielder after use, but the recharge time increase with each use making it important to know WHEN to use the ability.


Ugly Duck

Named for it's lack of symmetry and overall odd appearance the Ugly Duck was first used as a mid range mining vessel. Stripped of its equipment the ship is now enjoyed by many veteran pilots and those still working the asteroid mines across known space.

Catamaran

This "Hot rod" was on of the most popular ships on the watery worlds that they hail from. It's twin hull hearkens back to the earth vessels that share it's name.

The Stingray is the largest of the midfielders with its fold-able body and twin cockpit design it is a well rounded ship though it leans heavily into the Defender territory due to it's size and flight mechanics.

Web3 / Hive enabled?

How the game will connect to the blockchain or other web3 services is still under consideration, but to be clear there will be no forced connection to Hive or other chains to play and enjoy the game. Instead, we will use these emerging technologies to enhance game play, and to reward players for linking their accounts to the game. Most of these rewards and enhancements will be cosmetic, but they might also unlock new areas of the game, such as a lounge where players can hang out and chat while looking at @nftshowroom purchased art.

Our primary concern is that the game stands alone first, and after that we will post about integrations and decentralized distribution.


Call for Action

Currently we are looking for funding (of course we are) to power up our account here on #hive, and to pay for full time development for this and our other games. As such all rewards for this post will go towards the first goal (to power up the account) and any external contributions will go towards the company expenses.

Once the expenses are met we will transfer the surplus to Hive for future plans.
