Hello everyone here, welcome to my blog, trust you are all doing great, I'm very excited to participate in this contest.
weather condition in my country can be categorised into about four dimensions such as summer, winter, spring, autumn etc.
This is as a result of the earth rotation to the North hemisphere round the the sun. The weather changes bring about three outstanding seasons in my country which will be discussed in detail as we proceed further by answering the contest questions.
Currently, in my town, we are experiencing the winter or rainy season. The reason is because this period always has heavy rainfall with so much erosion, flooding and storm. Its also the farming season where crop planted by the farmers use the rainfall to grow. The period usually causes erosion, flooding of cities and towns.It always starts from the month of April to November. It's the longest season in my country.
The heavy rain does not permit celebrations and ceremonies to get any success during winter, the rain would spoil things for you. Economic activities used would be on the hold or going on in a slow motion. And this affect demand and supply chain. There's also the prevalence of mosquitoes causing -malaria sickness, other infection like pnuemonia due to cold and flu.
Furthermore, the winter season is notorious of environmental disasters such as windy storm more like a typhoon, flooding, ground mud and thunderstorm.
My most preferred season is the harmattan or autumn season because of the friendly weather condition including the enduring atmosphere of joy, happiness, celebration and enjoyment of the season. It's usually between November to March. There would be no rainfall nor extreme heat, the temperature would normalise on the average level. There may be cold in the early morning hours while the afternoon would come with a friendly weather.
I really preferred this weather condition. It's refers to as the festive season season. Many ceremonies and celebrations hold in different places for people to catch fun, it's the period that coincided with the Christmas season .
During the Harmattan or autumn season in my town special food such as fried rice and chicken, pounded yam with white soup, slaughtering of cows and goats by the privileged families are cooked and shared among friends, family members and faith base organisations.
People in the urban areas would travel to their home town to drink native palm wine, home made alcoholic drink locally called Kaikai. These types of food and drink are usually cooked, consumed and shared specially in lieu of the season for celebration of love and happiness. It's my best season so far and I think nearly everyone prefers it too.
In summary, we are currently having the winter season or rainy season in my town.This period usually has heavy rainfall including erosion, natural disasters such as flooding, windy and thunderstorms. It's also not a friendly season for ceremonies and partying. It slows economic productivity and growth. But it's useful for agricultural productions particularly farming.
My most preferred season is the autumn season because of its friendly weather conditions. A season with lots of fun, celebrations, family get-together, ceremonies and the Christmas season, where gifts are shared with the love ones. I really love this period and always wish it to happen three times in a year
