There are lots of consequences attached to staying in a dirty environment and the negative effects of such places on people’s health scare me a lot. From struggling with cholera to diarrhea and many other diseases, I have read about how miserable people’s lives can become just because of the kind of environment they live in. Some people are lucky to get a second chance after an ugly experience while there are those who met their demise after struggling with diseases in dirty environments.
Despite all the terrible incidents connected to dirt, it breaks my heart to see the human race not making progress with dirt management. We still contribute so much to making our environment dirty by illegally disposing of our waste.
I feel down walking through streets to see clogged drainage, heaps of refuse, and even houses channeling their toilet waste into stagnant gutters. Should we talk about the horrible sight or the stench that comes from these things, which are even nothing compared to their effects on our physical/mental health?
Living in a dirty environment is just impossible for me due to many reasons, and it’s fair to just say that I am allergic to dirt. It’s not like I haven’t lived in one before; I did because I didn’t have a choice, and I took it upon myself to make the environment clean and conducive for me.
There was a particular time I didn’t have a place to stay, and a family friend gave me accommodation. The environment was dirty, but I couldn’t say no because it was my only option, and for the first two months I stayed there, I had sleepless nights. Aside from the dirty environment, the house was cluttered, and those months were spent cleaning.
My guardian really appreciated my impact and made cleaning compulsory on weekends. It was a change in routine for the family, but they did love the transformation their place experienced.
In some environments, the cleanliness doesn’t just depend on you, and the place is in a terrible state because the people there aren’t cooperative. I have found myself in this kind of place and just had to do my best with my space. I succeeded in influencing some tenants while some people wouldn’t just change their ways.
All of these were years ago because for some time now, I have been quite lucky to live in a clean environment where people prioritize cleanliness. I have less work to do with ensuring my space is clean and don’t hesitate to do what’s needed when it’s time for it.
There are many of us who place too much priority on cleanliness, and it sometimes looks like we are overdoing things, which is not the case. Aside from the health implications of staying in a dirty environment, it affects me mentally because my mind is wired to my environment.
I find it difficult to concentrate or be productive in such an environment, so what’s the good in staying in a place that serves as a distraction for me? It just can’t work, and like I used to say, ensuring I stay in a clean environment is one of the reasons you won’t find me too far away from home since it’s somewhere I can control, and you can’t see dirt lying around.
A clean environment helps us flourish physically, mentally, and emotionally. At least, you are guaranteed a healthy living to an extent in a clean environment, and for me, I can concentrate on vital things and stay very productive every day.
There is nothing actually stopping us from living in a clean environment, and it just takes commitment and discipline to get things done. If every individual in the world takes cleanliness personally and doesn’t expect the government to come clean up the mess we make, we will have a clean environment, which automatically means a clean planet as well.

It's self discipline of everyone that can help clean our planet. Everything starts from us, but not everyone are responsible. 🥺 That's too much garbage. Could give pollution and sickness.
Staying in a dirty environment is very dangerous for our health and and our health should be the first priority that we should look after and that is why staying in a clean environment is important to everyone
You are right and I believe anyone who cares about their health wouldn't put it at risk around a dirty environment.
It's so painful to see those garbage. The earth suffers too much
