Today I went to my neighbour's house to greet them. Along with me, there were many other neighbours too. We all gathered to meet an old man and an old lady who are very kind and well known to all of us. We usually visit their home during special events or happy occasions.
After some time, they served us food and fruits. There were around twelve people in total, and four of us were children. Everyone was enjoying the time together. While sitting and eating, I noticed something. The children were eating carelessly. They were dropping food waste around them and not worrying about cleanliness.
I didn’t feel good about it, so I quietly brought a dustbin closer to where we were sitting. Then I told the children kindly, "Please put your waste into the bin so we can keep the place clean." I explained to them that keeping our surroundings clean is everyone's responsibility.
The old man and lady saw what I did, and they both appreciated me a lot. They smiled and said thank you. It felt nice to be helpful and to teach something good to others, especially to the younger ones.
