It is common for people to lack trust and respect for some medical practitioners because they all possess different character traits. While some are great professionals, they are overly caring and ensure their patients are comfortable and receive the best medical care ever, others act non chalant and just carry out their duties like they are God's and your existence at that time of your discomfort is based solely on their decisions. Some come off as rude and obnoxious and we also have others who take advantage of situations for their own personal and selfish interest. But the major duty of a medical practitioner is to priotize the patient's needs and concerns so that the best services can be rendered.
On a normal day, a person's relationship with medical doctors is one that should be built on trust and mutual respect, this is so because whatever the person is going through at that moment is one that makes them place their trust in that one human being who they believe will have a solution to their problems. Hence, people should feel confident and at ease rather than tensed. Recently, I watched an interview of a woman that had the issue of Vaginismus, this is a rare condition in which involuntary muscle spasm that occurs with vaginal intercourse, hence it's difficult for sex to happen.
In the interview, this lady described how she got married as a virgin following her Christian doctrines and all. But when it was time to have intercourse with her husband, it was also difficult and painful. This lingered on for a while because they thought it was because she was still a virgin at that age hence the difficulty and pain. After a while, they decided to seek medical help from different practitioners to know if there was an issue behind it, that was when they found out it was a disorder called vaginismus.
There was one time they went to see a doctor about it, and the doctor needed to examine her, she claimed that her spirit did not align with the presence of the doctor so she required a female doctor instead. But instead of the doctor to calm her down and explain things to her as to why a female doctor was not on duty, he was rude and said what has he not seen before that she is hiding. This was hurtful but she had no choice because she was trying so hard to find a solution to the problem.
According to the lady, she claimed that the doctor violated her because she felt that, the examination that allowed him use his fingers to check for the cause, he used it for selfish means. She also claimed that, the doctor said things like why did it take her time to have sex at such age, and that she was just scared and nothing more, this broke her confidence because she thought she would be psychologically relieve if a solution was offered.
In conclusion, all human beings have different characters before they get into different professions, we have liars, perverts, thieves, pedophiles, drug addicts, sex addicts, alcoholics and so on who are into the professions of medicine, priesthood, teachers etc. It would be difficult to detach them from their characters and behavior, hence they incorporate it into these professions dealing with people.

Some medical practitioners can be really annoying and disrespectful. If you don’t care about your job, why are you there? The least thing to do is just to treat your patients with respect.
