Hello friends, how are you all doing today on this beautiful sunny Tuesday? I hope I find you well and happy. So today's work made me really happy because of the improvements I noticed in a special child named Alex. So Alex has an eating disorder and wouldn't eat anything until forced.
Alex also regresses whenever he goes home for holidays and we would have to start all over again irrespective of the progress we've made. Resuming back at work yesterday really left me worried because I kept thinking about Alex and how he must have regressed.
So today Alex ate potato puree with just a little extra effort to make him eat, he ate a full bowl to my great surprise and also ate mashed spaghetti and cereal. I must say I'm really happy for the results.
Most parents always leave all the work for the therapist to handle, forgetting that continuity is what breeds progress. A lot of collective efforts plays a crucial role in the progress of every child whether special or not.
I hope Alex continues this way and not go back to not eating and I will be helping him explore different foods to know which he would love the most.
After work today I carried out my cleaning excercises around my work area specifically at Obidulu Estate. It was exciting to clean in a different area today and a lot of on lookers and passersby wondered why a fully sane dressed lady would be picking dirts on the street. An old man who watched for long from his window couldn't bear it anymore came out of his gate to watch what I was doing.
When I saw he was looking at me and wondering what I was doing, I greeted him aloud and he asked how I was, I answered "fine" and he waved and went back inside. My response to him cleared his doubts and he was assured that I was sane.
Below is my cleaning activity today 7th of January 2025. Have a great day my friends.
Weldon dear keep keeping the environment clean
Thanks
U are welcome
