No doubt about it, cleaning is a never ending quest. It’s like you are in a search for something magical, mythical.
Trying to keep a house perfectly clean is like chasing a unicorn. There is no such thing as a perfect cleanness.
You will agree with me that there are times when you think you have scrubbed the house to the extent that no strand of dirt should be found in it. But immediately after cleaning you always seem to find something. Then you wonder if you actually have not done enough.
Spotless clean is an elusive dream, a mythical creature that only exists in the wild imaginations of those who dare to believe in the impossible. And yet, we continue to scrub and dust and mop in pursuit of that mythical, ever-elusive spotless house.
But here's the thing: maybe the quest for a perfectly clean house isn't about actually achieving it. Maybe it's about the journey, the satisfaction of a job well done, the amazing feeling of a well organized life.
Hence, although you can never catch up with a unicorn because it does not exist, you can as well have some fun sightseeing along the way. It’s all about the journey, not the destination.
So don’t just strive to have a clean environment, strive to enjoy the cleaning process as well.
