On the road;the thrill for the unknown.

Traveling for me is unpredictable, you never know what you will get or out it will turn out.Over the years, I've had my fair share of traveling experience Two trips that stand out in my memory are my best and worst travel experiences, and I'm glad to share them with you.

My Best Travel Experience

It was in the early hours of November 1 2023,when I embarked on my first trip to the Redemption Camp in Lagos,Nigeria.I was traveling with a group of students,I was just made an executive In my felkowhip then,we were all buzzing with excitement. As we boarded the bus,the energy was there. We were all chattering, laughing and singing along to the latest gospel hits. It felt like a road trip party, all roads leads to camp(redemption city)

We have some strangers amidst us,people that were invited and the likes, even with that the journey was filled with non-stop entertainment,in our midst there are young comedians, musicians, artist, instrumentalist and all... from hilarious jokes to different dance steps, when the bus had issues, nobody was scared or murmuring, we were still cool, waiting for a mechanic to come,we started singing in turns, which you must flow and continue with the rythhm of the last singer,if you come in with an out of tune song, you are out, when the bus was fixed,we entered and by then the bus became a moving concert hall,am sure the driver would wish we were the type he conveys to and fro every single time,no dull moment at all.

We started one that involve mimicking past excos that went with us,to mimicking every other person,it was such a funfilled trip.

As we approached our destination, the anticipation grew.We were all eager to arrive at the Redemption Camp, ready to immerse ourselves in spiritual revival. But little did we know, the real fun had only just begun. The camp experience was incredible, but that's a story for another time.

What made this trip unforgettable was the love, unity we shared. We were strangers-turned-friends,united by our faith and the excitement of the trip.Even now when I look back, I'm filled with gratitude for that experience.

My Worst Travel Experience

About 6 years ago, I found myself on one of this camp meeting trip, but this time, disaster struck.I had joined a family friend's road trip, thinking it would be a relaxing journey, but oh no,i was very wrong.

About two hour into the trip, I started feeling uneasy. The car's air conditioning wasn't working,so the windows were rolled down.To make matters worse,my friends dad had bought petrol in a keg, which was stored in the boot.,it is a 3seater bus, those kind of spacebus that you can see thier boot, connected together,The smell of petrol is something my body do react to,I hæte it.

Before I knew it,I was vomiting uncontrollably inside the car.Panic set in,they got scared,we were all talking just now, what could have happened, they parked and looking to find a solution. Some suggested I eat a spicy bean cake to calm my stomach, while others said that I drink the very petrol that had caused these,as it is the best solution,I was surprised, even in my state, I thought "Drink petrol? Are you playing?

The rest of the journey was a blur.I was miserable, and everyone was equally frustrated. We finally arrived at our destination, but the experience was nothing to write home about.

Looking back,I realize that even the worst experiences can teach us valuable lessons. For me,it was the importance and need to be prepared, communicating clearly, and most importantly "avoiding petrol-filled kegs at all costs".

Traveling, as I said earlier is unpredictable, you never know what's around the corner. But one thing's for sure every experience, good or bad, shapes us.
There was an experience I had at a time also,it was around the covid era,I traveled when interstate trip was suspended,I was caught and told I would be going to the place where they keep and test people for covid,it could only be GOD that saved me that day,I was released by a police who heard my story and also finished from my school, but I couldnt get a cab, bike or anything, I trekked like.....its not a day to remember.

next time you travel and things don't go as planned just know it is part of the journey, and who knows, just like mine you might have a story to tell for years to come.

Thanks for taking your time to read through.
