Today marked my second day as an intern with a tech organization, and I must say, it has been quite an experience so far. I left the house very early this morning, determined to get to the office before 9:00 AM. The organization I work for was hosting a 3-day tech event, which began on Wednesday and wrapped up today. As part of my role, I was tasked with assisting in registering attendees and volunteering for other duties that came up during the event.
Despite my efforts to leave early, I ended up getting to the office around 9:30 AM, which was a little later than I had hoped. Thankfully, the program hadn’t started yet, so I had some time to settle in. I exchanged greetings with my colleagues, quickly organized myself, and prepared for the tasks ahead. Shortly after, the event officially kicked off.
The program was specifically designed for individuals transitioning into the tech field. It aimed to guide them in choosing career paths wisely and making informed decisions about their journey in the industry. The sessions were knowledge-packed, with speakers sharing valuable insights, tips, and personal experiences. It was an engaging event, and I found myself learning a lot as well. Everyone seemed to be actively participating and taking notes. Of course, no event is complete without a photo session, and this one was no exception.
After the program concluded, I decided to hang out with my sister and a friend who had also attended the event. We realized we were still quite hungry, even though we had snacked earlier during the program. So, we made our way to a restaurant close to the office. Fortunately, the place wasn’t crowded when we arrived, which meant we were attended to immediately.
The day had been quite hectic, but after resting a bit at home, I still made time to complete my daily cleaning routine. I enjoy keeping my surroundings clean, even after a long day, it helps me feel accomplished and organized.
