Dear unmarried,
This is a hard saying but I'll still say it anyway. Someone needs to hear it! If you're not ready to get married in 1 or 2 years you don't need a relationship, no matter how old you are.
You don't go into a relationship because you're old enough. You go into it because you're READY for one!
Sometimes I just feel some people do not actually need a relationship yet but the thought of 'all my friends are in a relationship' and wanting to feel loved will not allow them rest! Most especially the ladies.
Relationship is not by age. It is by READINESS!
I mean you must be ready for all that comes with a marital relationship to avoid shattered emotions! A lot of young guys and ladies go through a lot in relationship and this is because they actually don't need one yet!
Don't be in too much haste to know what being in a relationship feels like especially if you are still in your teenage age. I feel ashamed of youngsters who enter relationship claiming they want to feel loved. Love yourself first. You're naive. They will break your heart fifteen times before you have sense. You have not completed your education, yet you are in a relationship. You have not attended school, but you are in a relationship. You have not acquired a trade or profession, yet you are in a relationship. Time that you'll use to chase purpose, you're using it to start a relationship when you're not even ready for marriage. What are you seeking? Sex and series of heartbreak. Be careful about rushing God’s timing. You never know who or what He is protecting you from. Take advantage of being single by using this time to focus more on you and your growth in life. What God is preparing for you is worth the wait.
There is no point going into a relationship with 5 to 7 different guys/ladies before you finally settle for one. You are just 20 and you have accumulated seven Exes already. Why the rush? Where are you rushing to? You're not ready to settle down in a year or two but you want to get into a relationship. To do what exactly? To start celebrating relationship anniversary from one to seven years. I cringe when I hear people say they have dated someone for seven years. When they break your heart, how do you intend to recover from it wholeheartedly? This unpreparedness is why we have two many people fornicating, doing abórtions, bringing kids out of wedlock and getting their hearts broken severely. When you date and break up, date again and break up, you hardly remain the same. This is why we have so many people with baggage of their past building unhealthy relationships because there're trust issues, fear and toxicity. When you enter into a relationship when you're not ready for marriage, a lot of emotional damage comes with it that tends to affect the future. There's time for everything. There's no joy doing relationship that will not lead to marriage in a few months. Relationship is not a skill, neither is it a trade. You don't need four years relationship experience with ten heart breaks before you finally settle down with baggage of your past experiences following you along.
Stop doing relationships for fun, flings and sex. Stop accumulating ex's like someone that's accumulating degrees. There's no award for relationship experience. Years that someone spent in school to study law, you're using it to celebrate relationship anniversary. Celebrating relationship anniversary more than the married 😂
Wait till you're ready for marriage. Get it right once and for all. Go through your courtship period within a short time and enter into marriage beautifully!
Some people will read this and still not have sense. It's a pity!
I hope dear reader finds this educating.
