Hive has been a great platform for development for me. It's been over a year since I began my journey on Hive, and I can say I have accomplished some of my goals listed for the year 2024. The journey has not been an easy one so far because it takes quite a lot of practice to become a notable writer on this platform. There are times when discouragement would set in due to not having high expectations, which are not visible, but then as the phrase, "there is a light at the end of the tunnel," that's for someone who didn't give up when the going gets tough.
GOALS FOR 2024
- My first goal is to improve my engagement, which I can say I keep up to 60% due to some offline jobs that are taking part of my time. To improve my engagement and make it worthwhile, I need time to concentrate on the activities of the blockchain and be actively involved. I wanted to explore more communities and engage in their activities and prompts, and that brought me to the realization of some communities such as #cleanplanet, #hivereachout, #digital-lifestyle, #indiaunited, #photographylovers, and lots more.
- My second goal is to increase my HP, this can be done by staking liquid hive and also through diligent engagement to earn during write-ups. I've not done so well in this, but I'm planning to make it a successful and achieved goal before the year runs out. Part of this goal is to have some hives or HBD in my savings for an APR interest of 15%.
- Another goal I had at the beginning of the year is to increase my friend base, meeting people that matter on this platform is a blessing. Getting to know more intelligent writers than those I had known ever since I began my journey on Hive is one thing I had in mind and that's achievable by engaging in other people's posts, being humble, and being ready to learn from them creates a good friendly atmosphere and I can say I've achieved that to some extent. Meeting the likes of @nwothini335, @emrysjobber, @bobbydones, @olujay, @starstrings01 and many more. Their support has been one of the factors for me to keep engaging on hive blockchain.
My journey on Hive has been interesting and amazing, although it hasn't been a sweet ride because, at times, one needs extra attention and a serene environment to come up with meaningful posts that would be loved by readers. The only challenge I can say I'm facing presently is enough time to write and meet up with community prompts which I'm always lacking due to my offline engagements. Also, I want to engage in other activities on Hive aside prompts and also to learn more about decentralized blockchain. Hoping to increase my engagement before the year runs out so that I can at least have a pass mark of 80%, which can bring my goals for the year 2024 to great success.

I really like your goals and this was a great read. I tool a break from the platform for probably 6 months, and just started to engage again. I hope to make more friends on Hive too, and engage more. I am so glad that DBbuzz is back onli9ne, and that we hive the newer Snaps we can post short form on. I used to post on ecencywaves and occasionally on LeoThreads, but I like Dbuzz and Snaps a lot. They both just work well for me and are without glitches. Thanks again for sharing your goals, it is hel;pful for me to evaluate my own too.

Hive isn't an easy place to be; your goals are realistic, and I'm sure you will achieve every one of them. You have come a long way on the blockchain.
