No doubt everyone is blessed with amazing people, some are friends turned favorites while others are their blood relatives just like mine, "so I have a favorite person."
Recently, I was having a conversation with someone very interested in getting to know more about me, then he popped the question, "Not that kind of question, though." I know what you were thinking (I read minds now), but don't call me a seer. When he asked the question, "Who is your favorite person?" I didn't pause for a while to give it some thorough thought because I knew who it was already.
He was surprised when I went straight into answering his question. I don't have to think about who my favorite person in the world is, this person has been a huge part of my life since the day I was born.
"This is someone whose strength I admire" someone I look up to, someone who made life easy for me despite everything this person has been through, and who could this person be "My sister" She has always been a role model to me, growing up we fight and quarrel but she still shows me love and affection, I don't know what I did to deserve all the love she showers on me.
She made love so easily that I can't even think straight; I can remember growing up when I wished I was her because she was amazing; I'd look at her and be like, "I have the best sister in the whole wide world." she possesses everything I needed in a sister.
I can vividly remember when Mum passed, and she stepped in to fill that vacuum for my siblings and me; despite not being the first child, she played that mother role so perfectly that I forgot the tragedy that befell us. People always say first daughters are the pillars that hold a family together, I didn't believe in this saying till the day you started portraying the mother figure in my life. Now I can proudly call you "my step-in mother." She deserves that name because she has proven worthy to bear it.
My sister has always been there for me through thick and thin, I can't think of a moment that she was absent in my life, I can feel her presence even when we are far apart "That's how much she means to me" my sister has been my backbone or should I say "she is my rock" she had taught me never to give up in life even when things gets difficult.
To you my big sister:
You, my sister, have been my support system from my childhood till this very moment, you make adulthood look like childhood for me because of how you treat me till this moment.
I love everything about you but you know what I love the most "your unwavering love" and unconditional love you showed me, my sister, never judges whenever I make a mistake or any wrong decision, she is always there whenever I fall, she would pick me up, dust off every substance in my body and encourages me to try again.
I know we are only related by blood but to me, it feels like we are related by something much stronger than blood "I don't know what that is" I look forward to sharing every amazing moment with you, I wanna laugh with you, I wanna cry with you, I want to succeed with you by my side.
So, with all being said, my all-time favorite person is "my big sister." She is the rock on which I build my wall, and I'm super grateful for having someone like her in my life.
