What tomato plants taught me / トマトの植物に学んだこと

This year I had to plant quite a lot of tomato plants directly in the ground as I was so excited to the gardening season and made too many seedlings more than the number of pots I have. But there is an interesting finding.

Our garden soil isn't ideal for gardening. It's been just left as it is for long. So some of the tomato plants couldn’t develop roots and died. But interestingly the survived ones are even bigger than those in a large pot with good new soil.

Nature is beyond my expectancy and that’s why it’s interesting 😊And it's a matter of probability. Good to give a try and try to do my best. But still there is some chance of failure. When I fail, I don't blame myself and the nature, I lean from it and keep on gardening!

Plants in the ground always grow bigger because the soil tends to hold water better and there is enough room for the roots to develop

Ja that's right. But interesting thing is that some I planted almost in the same condition didn't grow well. Anyway, I learn a lot by doing :)

Try putting down a layer of cardboard for some wood pulp in the soil 🤠

Plants have their ways and a personality of their own.

When they find a spot to grow well in, they'll surprise everyone and can do wonders.
