Hard Red Winter Wheat is used to feed cattle in our region. It grows in the winter months and provides them with food during early stages of the wheat's development. This was my first research project back in 2018. We took samples completely by hand using small cutters and 1 meter x 1 meter square sample plots. Wheat was planted in different ways and we compared expected percent gain on a cow.
