Hello! It's Monday, and I'm glad that you're alive to see this day. It's been a while since I posted on this platform.
So today, I'm going to enlighten us on the benefits of being an Agriculturist.
This topic is going to be an interesting one, trust me. Many people thought that Agriculture had nothing to offer.
But I say no to that assumption. Agriculture in my view, can sometimes be more beneficial to us than our Education.
I'm not saying Education is not good but to some extent. I know some people would say without Education, one can not have a better knowledge of how to cultivate some crops.
Education has little to do with Agriculture. Some people are naturally endowed with such grace. Not everyone does it because they feel it's not for them.
I've learned a lot and also benefitted a lot from Agriculture.
On Saturday, I decided to visit one of my farms, which I prepared for planting. I did that for a long time, but before I knew it, I had to go back and weed the whole farm before I began to plant.
So, after weeding the whole farm, I decided to dig some holes, and I also cut some cassava stems, which I later planted on the farm. I enjoyed the whole process because it has become part of me. And I don't know how my life would have been if Agriculture wasn't discovered.
What I love most during cultivation is digging holes and burning unwanted plants or dry leaves on the farm.
I also enjoy the covering of the holes with my bare hands. I don't wear any gloves, but I know that can be harmful. I still prefer using my bare hands to do the work. What I do is that I'm always careful while cultivating my plants.
My beloved father and mother also came to help me out as their beloved daughter. He encouraged me to do what I have passion for. He was also the one who helped me in setting the remaining dry leaves ablaze while I continued covering these cassava stems.
Now I'm going to talk about the benefits I got as an Agriculturist.
(1) Peace of mind. This is the first benefit I got as an Agriculturist. Ever since I started doing this, I don't have any issues with anyone in terms of food.
Anytime I'm hungry, I enter my farm and get what I want. I may choose to sell them to raise money for my upkeep, and I may also decide not to sell them.
Dependency and laziness lead people to steal. Don't tell me you're stealing because you have nothing to do. What about those people who are physically challenged but are still doing well?
(2) Respect and recognition: I've earned so much respect as an Agriculturist from my community. Sometimes, I wonder why it's so, but they keep telling me that I'm a strong lady.
So, if you decide to join me, you will also earn this respect because no one will be pointing his or her fingers at you for any reason.
Regarding recognition, it's massive. It makes me feel I did the right thing by putting all my efforts into Agriculture.
(3) Being an Agriculturist made me a problem solver. See, if you can not solve people's problems that means you have nothing to offer.
If you're always there to satisfy your people whenever they need your farm produce, automatically, you have something to offer this generation.
In conclusion, Agriculture is what is keeping our economy in a better position. And without it, a lot of people would have died.
So, any country or nation that wishes to succeed must see Agriculture as the necessary tool for their survival and success.
