Hello Hivers ๐๐,
- When you are into animal production in agriculture you are entitled to so many leaves, shrub and also Herbs which may be in conjunction with the use of concentrate feeds for your animals depending on individual differences and how much more you can cater for your financial status With the animals. I would like to see that I've been all around learning about agriculture and what it entails. It is never an easy task but also I will say this often again that it is what you learn either from watching videos from article writing from conversations from newspapers and so on will properly justify your knowledge. I always love to better myself and everything I do most especially when it comes to the agricultural mindset lifestyle because it is when you practice what you have been taught either in school or in videos that is what you will teach someone. When did not practice what you have been taught it may become nothing to you and also to the community.
When handling animals such as rabbit you need to feed them regularly and also be rest assured that their growth and development will be rapid although it also depends on the breed you are rearing. The rabbit also consume more when you give them a chance to showcase their talent so you need to be extremely careful unless you are around a bushy environment which gives more leaves every now and then. Just like what I do,I always visit the woods every to two -two days to fetch the green leaves for my rabbit although I have a little space where I keep them for some days. The rabbit eat the Tridax weeds which is mostly common here in Nigeria and also in some part of the world although I do not know more about other countries but where I reside we see them more often even when we are in the rainy season. In dry season we have them too but not as much quantity we have them in the rainy season.
- Some people actually plant them in their own Green field where most green plants is been planted mostly for animals. During the dry season that is what I do as well I tried my best to plant them around my environment where I can easily access whenever I want to feed my rabbit. To do this also it takes a lot of patience and time. It took me more than two months before it started regenerating again itself. I took some pictures when I got to the farm to fetch the Tridax weed.
- There is no any other method of fetching the weed from the ground other than uprooting it from the main root or just cutting it off from the main root. But then as much as you want it to regenerate or grow back you can absolutely cut it up and within 1 week or more it will grow on its own.
Someone once ask me that is the flower also edible for the animals and my answer was yes because it is very delicious with the flower although I have never eaten it before but with the practical approach I see it clearly that it's very delicious. There is no doubt. The only thing you can also do is to try your best after which you have already fetch it from the main root, to expose it in an open environment in order to make sure that there is no any third party insect on the leaves.
This is how the leaves looks like. It is very small when you see it on the floor or on the soil. It is very easy to the touch from the main plant.
- Fire rabbit that are much more bigger than 3 month and above you can give them the weed known Tridax weeds. It is also medicinal and sometimes used as antibiotics for rabbit most especially. When you see your rabbit with a lot of watery stool you can fetch a little bit of this particular weed and feed it to your rabbit. It will definitely stop
Within a short period of time.
- You can use this type of weed for any type of rabbit breed. No matter the type of breed the chinchilla breed, the New Zealand white, Dutch, the Havana Black and so on.
