Hello Hivers ๐Ÿ’•๐Ÿ’˜,

Maize ๐ŸŒฝ๐ŸŒฝ is one of the crop that is widely grown here in Nigeria and is also common even in some other part of the world and this is why it needs a lot of concentration even before you go into the planting of the seed first of all. It may look extremely easy at first but I can assure you that it is more than just putting the seed on the soil for germination to take place. I've seen so many cases whereby a farmer plant this seed in excess and in hope to have a very good production season as every farmer dream of. There after along the line they are a lot of challenges which was beyond the farmer and he couldn't bear it anymore he left the whole Farm for so many reasons.

  • Like I said it is beyond planting of the seed itself. You can imagine a farmer dreaming to have a very wonderful and bountiful produce at the end of a whole planty season and at the end regretting going into this particular type of farming system. And this is why we need to always come our nerves and see beyond what other people see. If you ask so many people concerning agriculture you will definitely see that the answer is almost the same when it comes to getting the response from people but from my own perspective and view it is respectively beyond what you can ever imagine as individual farmer. When it comes to this planting of crop you need to go into a round table to draw your plans. When you attend to start your own farm activity? When will the rain start? When will you go and source for a very good healthy and reliable seed ? How healthy is your soil? In this case I will emphasize on the nutrients value of the soil composition. So it is beyond planting of crops alone. At this point in time they crop usually grow more faster when you have a very good healthy and nutritious soil. It will also boost the crop to speed up it growing ability. Nowadays we have Maize ๐ŸŒฝ๐ŸŒฝ that can grow within three and a half months and it will grow to your own satisfactory level of production. And this is why some people who are actually farmers can plant twice or three times in a year in terms of this kind of particular production because it is mainly used for poultry feeds, Human foodstuff and so many other uses and benefits from maize ๐ŸŒฝ๐ŸŒฝ.

The fact that you have a plot of land that is also readily available to cultivate crop does not give you a very 100% assurance that what you will plant Will Survive and give you your desired production. But first you need to concentrate on so many diversities in agriculture. There are also when the plants grow up to reach it maturity stage you need to look for some kind of differences so that you will pick point which one is ready available for harvest and which one is medium matured. Take for distance I took some pictures sometimes ago to show us how you can really differentiate between a very growing Maize ๐ŸŒฝ๐ŸŒฝ to the medium matured maize ๐ŸŒฝ๐ŸŒฝ.

  • When you see group of maize Farm that shows this type of physiological appearance all over that means that the plant or the crop is getting to its full maturity state or stages and it is going to be harvested in the next few weeks or days.

  • What you will notice is that you see the corn hair we be brownish in color or sometimes brownish dried. When it is purely dried it means that it is fully matured that will be no up or down motion before you harvest it or else you see some visitation of flying birds all around your farm. So it is highly necessary you have this farming tips before you jump into the production as a single farmer or as a group of people.

  • When you see a very slightly wet brownish color of the corn hair ๐ŸŒฝ๐ŸŒฝ this means that it's on its way growing up to its maturity stage. You need to be patient enough for some few weeks (3-4) before you harvest. So this farming tips are those that you can see physically and also I gained a lot of experiences from my late dad several years ago before he died. We always go to farm and I thought it was all about farming farming all the way not knowing that this experience is gathered to be useful for future reference and purposes.

You see a lot of quick changes during the rain season and this is because the natural rainfall drops everyday or every other day which is absolutely great for germination and photosynthesis. For few hours there may be rainfall and also for a few hours there will also be sunshine so it's goes in and out. This is why most people love to plant during the rainy season because of the quick response of plants to grow.

I always focus on pictures because it's a very good sign to show for every step you take in any type of work you do. When people see most of your articles in picture representation it will give a lot of self- explanation and also understanding to practicalize it and to show more concern positively and also negatively for those who have questions.
