IN SEASON WE HARVEST SUMMER VEGETABLES; WE PROCESS THEM TO SAVE FOR WHOLE WINTER.
One solution for that is dry them. In photos you see how we dry our vegetables that we grow without chemicals with love. We use basil, sweet basil and some colorful flowers to keep insects away. You'll see that flowers and basils with our products at the and of the writing. That final process' is very important to use all product that we grow on the garden.
HOW TO DRY TOMATOES
• First step is to select non-juicy / plum tomatoes.
• Be sure that the weather is dry. If the weather is humid you can find a different place as I do ( A close friends home is very good to share that practice :) )
• Fınd a sunny place for all day.
• Wash them and divide in half.
• Pour salt on tomatoes.
• Be careful for animals (we put some barriers, in the night you can move them inside.)
• I prefer them as semi dry. If you make semy dry as me you have to put them in freezer to protect for a long time. If you dry it completely you can save them outside.
• Now you taste it. Mmm so delicious. Put them on your salads, foods; eat on breakfast, you can make some sauce and if you know different ways to eat please write me to try :)
HOW TO DRY PEPPER AND AUBERGINE
• Be sure that the weather is dry.
• Fınd a sunny place for all day. And you should wait with them to be sure it's not raining.
• For peppers: just string them on rope.
• For aubergine: you have to hollow out or cut to small pieces. and string them on rope.
• For all of them you have to be sure that no pieces should touch each other. It's so important to separate all the pieces to make them have wind and sun.
bon appétit
