I was going through some community on hive before I needed to share story about my agricultural lifestyle,in the process I found this community Agricultural mindset and I read several articles and post shared on this platform, that when I released I needed to be in this community and I am glad I finally joined the community.
Am Benson oladunni by name but on hive olastick, am a student and agriculturist too. I work in a farm owned by my parent. Basically, fish farming and poultry farming is the family way, which my dad was the key
founder of the business,he is a agricultural who study crop and horticulture, we start with fishery then after with rearing of goat and shsheeps, then with the poultry farming.
Below shows the pictures of the poultry birds
These is a poultry that was filled with 10,000 bird but due to the mortality rate the bird has reduce in the number. And they are also just 4weeks old. In my next post I would be sharing the daily routine in which they are feed.
Below shows picture of grown up bird called layer, actually the bird population was much before but were sold for family consumption during Christmas fiesta. The picture shown are the remaining birds that were not sold and present they are regard as my family's intake and they lay approximately up to 30 eggs in day.
We also have the male bird called cockerel,the cockerel were rear to be sold but the remaining were grown for family consumption
Below shows the picture of a fish pond stock with fish both mature fish ready to be sold and fingerling. The poultry business is control byfather while the fish farming is control by my mother.
When view you might not see the fish just because they are in the water and also the water is coloured too
Below shown picture of goat and sheep. We actually rear them for family consumption and they are not to be sold.
