Thanks for stopping back sis. What really happened is that when you fetch the all plants from the ground you wash it at first so that all the parasites and everything will be washed away and you spread it not directly in the sun. then after it has drained you give it to your animals as a whole both the plant and the flower itself is useful for the animals. @ozd
