What does the word ABUSE connotes ?
Abuse simply means to misuse.
So drug abuse is the excessive intake of drugs. Every drugs has it prescription but when a drug is been taken excessively, we refer to it as drug abuse and this can lead to emotional physical and social harm.
When you become a drug addict, responsible people will stay away from you, your relationship with people become jeopardize.
Drugs abuse affect our reasoning ability, it leads to insomnia, it raise blood pressure and the body temperature becomes high.
Drug abuse can lead to mental health issues like depression, hallucination and aggression will also set in.
Commonly misused drugs
- Alcohol
Almost Everyone takes alcohol but excessive intake of alcohol can lead to serious health problem.

Marijuana increases the heart rate and it and causes other health problems.

- Cocaine
When cocaine is abuse, it also leads to increase in heart rate and it damage the brain as well.

Other abused drugs include: nicotine, heroine, morphine etc
CONCLUSION
Abusing drugs will add nothing to us personally than to cause changes in the normal state of health and send someone to early grave.
