RE: Memories : The Day Hive was low of 1$

in Proof of Brain3 years ago

I got into Splinterlands and got disappointed.
Purchased many golden foil cards at very expensive prices and prices later fell. I thought that by buying NFT cards like this and having a utility for playing, they would appreciate in value over time, but it was not the case.
I decided to try Hive and its ecosystem and now I see that people are posting and at least getting some Hive for good posts.
I also have ADA, DOT, some Shiba and Ziliqa and all of them are down. At the end, a coin is a coin and they are not expected to be purchased like a stock, they should be used as a representation of value and transfer of value, not as a speculative vehicle.
At least, comparing Hive to other altcoins, it seems to have the value of paying for people to post their lives' what-abouts and for playing, it's just that competing coins are starting to surface since they have discovered that a good long lasting coin needs to have an ecosystem or its own economy in order to generate "value". This is the reason why maybe Hive is staring to lose its value, because the moment a Facebook-like competitor appears on the block with its ease of use and entice people to post and earn massively, that will be the moment Web 3.0 is going to become mainstream.
