Nirvana Fan Art - Incesticide CD Cover - by Ana

in Proof of Brain4 years ago

I’ve been to write a blog post nearly every day since my last publication, but couldn’t get anything out. The ideas were there, yet word flow was a cracked, dry riverbed.

I’m unsure how I went from being unable to type fast enough to complete staleness.

Perhaps my creativity just needed a break. I admit that writing 400 - 1400 words per day (plus helping with my Daughters things) can really siphon a woman dry. Or maybe the theft of my camera that I never even had the opportunity to hold, was one kick too many.

I still don’t feel like the word flow is back, but my urge to write has been creeping around.

Today, I went on a art adventure with my Daughter. She was drawing the female from Gorillaz band while I took a stab at Nirvana’s Skelton Guy on the cover of the Incesticide CD. (I’m going to miss CD covers as they phase out due to steaming).

I’m no artist in the fine art sense. I can draw a flower and swirls, that’s basically the extent of my skills. So, considering my lack of skill, my creation today was with great pride.

For those who don’t know, this skeleton is supposed to look messy- it was merely a doodle that Kurt Cobain created one day.

Here’s my take:

Just the skeleton man

and now with a little accessories.

Here’s some proof of work:

I have a video clip of the drawing but had some issues Uploading it. I’ll try to upload it tomorrow.

It may not look like it, but this dang thing took me all day to design. I’m sure others could have done it faster but I used Fresco (and Ai and Ps) which isn’t software that I’m overly familiar with.

I’m going to polish this piece up tomorrow.

!LUV this. I have been revisiting Nirvana recently - Lounge Act is such a great song - not this album though.

Thank you! Me too. Yesterday was a Nirvana day. It was so nice to watch the MTV Unplugged session and see the band in a real like personality. Kurt looked so healthy and happy, they seemed lighthearted.
