I don't know, I've seen some cat fights get pretty vicious lol.
I am of two minds on the issue. I feel bad keep a cat locked up in a domestic environment. They are still wild in a way that dogs are not and I think that people often try to force them into that dog paradigm. That being said, I did once see a cat belonging to a friend of mine killed by two stray dogs. I can understand a persons impulse to try to prevent that sort of thing.
