Good day everyone, am really happy today because of the Uefa champions league final that was played yesterday was an interesting match because Chelsea fc was crown the best team in Europe yesterday.And am really happy to see my favorite club win the Uefa champions league. Today I will like to share with you something we can do with our phone camera aside from taking photos.
We all use phone cameras for taking photos and pictures, but there are some amazing things we can do with our phone cameras. I’ve put it into practice and I would love everyone to try it too. So the first thing we all can use our phone camera for is….
Checking Tv and decoder remote control
Yes, you can use your phone to check if your remote control is still functioning or the battery needs replacement. You only point the remote control to the camera of your phone and if it shows blue light or any other bright colour it’s still working, but if it shows no light it means that the remote control battery needs replacement, and if replaced and it still didn’t work then the remote control itself needs replacement.
Detecting Hidden cameras
You can detect cameras and cctv cameras in your room, particularly in a dark room. You simply switch off the light and check the room with your phone camera, and if you see rays of light from any spot it means that there are hidden cameras in the room.
Solve mathematics
This aspect is kind of interesting because you can use your phone to solve mathematics questions by using the application called photomath, just take pictures of your mathematics questions and they would be solved automatically. Try it and see it yourself.
Visual search
Instead of doing the normal type searching, just take pictures of the objects and use a snap search app. Many search apps allow you to snap picture from your camera and and use it to perform a search. Ok for instance, if you snapped a photo of a product like a laptop or a smartphone, you would see available information about the product with the image search. Also if you snapped a photo of a tourist attraction, you would as well see information about the attraction center, where it is located and lots more. Example of the visual search app in Android is the Google goggles which offers an official Google visual search experience.
Language translating
Sometimes you might find yourself in a foreign land or you just come across a foreign language by a sign, menu or other pieces of text. You don’t need to panic cause your phone camera can do the wonders with Google translate ( Android, iOS app) and you can get an instant translation through your phone camera.
Google Translate can utilize optical character recognition (OCR) to automatically interpret the text and translate it for you. It’s not perfect but it can work faster than using the popular Google word translate by typing.
From the front page of the Google translate app, just tap on the camera icon and begin your search.
You can use as a mirror
This one is the most common use of your phone camera especially among the female folks. You see them constantly checking their face and makeup using their phone camera.
There are more things we can use our phone camera for. We are in the 21st century and thanks to technologist for coming up with an idea of phones with camera.
