It's often difficult to accept disappointment, but it's is good you do and move on with hopes of getting better. I'm sure many of us have experience disappointment in some phases of our lives, learned from it and became much better than we were.
Let me quickly share my story. I remember some year ago, I saw a job publication, the take home was so attractive and applied, I was lucky to be among the invited applicants for the interview. It was a whole lot of processes, from one screening to another.
The first interview was a success, from there, I was scheduled for training. I began to have amazing thoughts. i was saying to myself, since I made it to the training section,im possibly going to have the job. Smiling... .
After the training, I was invited for the final interview.
I got prepared, like very prepared for the final interview. When I got to the venue, I was picked to be among the top five to go in, it was like whew!
Getting to my turn, I went in and was interviewed, it actually didn't take so much time and I left.
Everything went well, and I left, though I have mixed feelings in between, but i kept building high hopes that I was going to receive a congratulations mail. I was told I will get a feedback in five days.
I waited and finally got the the message, sadly it was a negative one.
I was disappointed and became depressed. Why? Cos I had hopes very high.
I began to think about how stressful it was for me, the risk I took and the money wasted. But on the long run, I had to console myself and moved on.
Today, I am happy I learned from the experience.
I'm happy I told myself earlier enough that certain things don't happen the way we perceive them and that what is ours will always be ours no matter the amount of effort we put in.
I'm happy that I didn't belittle capability after rejection.
I'm happy that the energy to keep trying didn't vanish.
Note: that you can't escape disappointment as you keep living, so it is good you have the mindset and develop methods of accepting them when they come.
Accept it and keep trying, perhaps change your method of approach, because surely something will definitely work out.
Have a productive week ahead.
