It is true that in life, you meet different people from different backgrounds, different beliefs, different upbringing and different lifestyle. One thing is to pray to meet people who are good. People who understands and help you in times of need.
I want to talk about having people around you especially colleagues who are good people, who understands and are willing to help you be the best of you, defend you at your back and possibly be of help when you need one.
In every organization, we have colleagues who are difficult, who make our work look like hell, colleagues who make you get tired of what you loved at first. So I asked myself, of what benefit is it to such persons,who derive joy in frustrating the other human? Some even stand to take the glory that is meant for you out of a job well done.
It is OK we all want to be the best in our daily pursuit, but putting another human in pain should be something we all should avoid. That is why understanding one another and accepting each other is one of the major difficulty we deal with everyday in work places.
Speaking from experience, I had a boss who was amazing, I kept the job because of how nice my boss was, I asked myself, if I quit the job cos of the kind of people I work with that didn't give me the job at are paying me salary, of what gain is that? I felt kind of relieved when I realized that the person who gave me the job is not giving me the kind of negativity I received from my colleagues, so why should I quit and they still remain in the organization? I kept the job,i can't be a looser for nothing hahahahaha.
It is really sad that the people we have around us affect us and even lower the level of our productivity. They make us hate what we do and make it unbearable to carry on. To the people who want peace, who swallow bitter pills to let peace reign, its not easy, but keep it up. Cos there are people who don't take certain behaviors, that's how the will keep fighting till the day they path ways, is not worth it.
So I am here to tell you, that if you have a colleague that is nice and understanding. Please always appreciate them and reciprocate in the little way we can.
To the peace givers, may we not get weary of maintaining peace in where ever we find ourselves.
