Had the same experience. During dry season, we go to the bush to fetch dry woods, but during raining session, we buy from people that store dry wood for sale.
Cooking with fire wood is what I grew up with, but mom later got us stove, so we shuffle, anytime we are cooking large quantity, we use firewood.
Firewood is faster and more economical. And they say the taste of food cooked with firewood can't be compared with the food cooked on stove cos is more sweeter. hahahahahhaha I don't know how true though.
Cooking with firewood is fun I must say.
It is true that cooking with firewood will make the food taste better. The smoke of the burnt wood will make tasty aroma to the food.
