I really haven't done many mean things in my life, at least not from my perspective; however, I was kicked out of a boy scout camp when I was a kid...
My best friend and I wanted to pull a prank on this kid. We picked a kid we were not too fond of, of course. We'd already put his shorts up the flag pole and done the shaving cream in the hand and tickle the face trick. The last night of camp, we decided we would shave part of one leg. This way, he'd have to either walk around with a funny looking leg everywhere or he'd have to shave it the rest of the way and shave the other one and have to explain to everyone why he shaved his legs.
Well...we bought the razor and the shaving cream. We also bought duct tape. While he was sleeping, around 2am, we went into his tent and while one person put duct tape over his mouth, the other was going to try and shave his leg while holding down the other leg.

It didn't go down that way...Once the duct tape was on his mouth, he was able to get it off, super scared. We never did get to shave his leg. He screamed and woke up the leaders. He said we were trying to kill him. Of course we weren't; however, he woke up to duct tape on his mouth, us trying to restrain him, with a razor blade...not just the blade, a standard razor in the 90's for shaving one's face...you know...Bic...

Nonetheless, we were both sent to the vehicles and had to stay there until 6am. We were escorted out of camp (which it was the last night anyway) and had to wait to be taken home. We ended up having to write an apology letter and read it in front of all the parents and kids of our troop. It was humbling.
Apparently the kid was pretty traumatized. It wasn't a nice thing we'd done...but we were 16 and thought it was a great idea at the time...we didn't really think about the optics from his point of view. So...yeah...that's the meanest thing I can think of that I've done.

I think I would have FREAKED OUT if I would have woke up to duct tape on my mouth in the dark! We did pranks like shortsheeting the beds and putting jello on towels and in showerheads. We also saran wrapped a toilet.
