I have a question about upvoting an old post. I found a post I liked but it's a couple months old and when I click the upvote button it won't let me vote. My understanding is that after seven days that's it and it's done. You can't edit or upvote them anymore.
Is there something obvious that I'm missing here or was this to stop potential abuse? I'd like to think that if someone makes a great posting they could still have people like their work for weeks, months or years to come.
I'm relatively new to all of this so please excuse any seemingly basic questions.
Well, I have no idea. I also tried that and since it didn't work I just had to read and and pass.
But I'm thinking it's all about liquidity and encouraging new posts. If you have the chance to get votes on your old posts then you'll be relaxed a bit. But when you know after 7days you can't receive reward on that post you'll strive to post more..
That's just what I think though
Thanks for sharing how you see this, this always seemed a bit strange to me.
Yeahh...maybe with time we'll get to understand it more
