RE: POB: Follow your own rules.

in Proof of Brain4 years ago (edited)

Follow your own rules is apt. Mine changed recently and I felt the need to vote on people who have shown integrity and demonstrate an understanding for the platforms ideals. It's reduced the amount of people I vote on, but I sleep easy knowing that I'm not supporting people who have questionable motives.

This cannot and should not be put to the test, as if users had a target in their heads. In fact, there are users who deserve this vigilance... In singular cases.

The Proof Of Brain mechanics mean absolutely nothing if they aren't somewhat put to the test. It's obviously a grey area and we should try not to throw people under the bus for every single vote, but votes are a large factor when determining someones motivations, they should be observed and taken into consideration. They aren't the only factor though.

I know sooner or later this will happen to all users, but they don't need to be "intimidated" about using the voting power they have or about selling the tokens they've managed to earn.
