Hello everyone.
I'm starting a consistent thread every Monday, of different deserts, continental or local, and how to make them π. I know you're interested.
On today's episode, I'm dropping a sneak peek into my very own recipe of an orange sorbet. I learnt this very sweet desert a while back, and it's crazy how unpopular this dish/snack/drink/dessert is because it's so refreshing and nerve relaxing, and also perfect for the hot weather π. Plus, it's very easy to makeπ.
All you'll need for an orange sorbet are:
- Oranges
- Sugar/syrup
- Water
Materials: - Cups/a large bowl
- One tablespoon
- Blender
- Knife

How to prepare an orange sorbet.
- Peel your oranges, to reveal the lobes, like in the picture. Cut into smaller bits with a knife.
- Put all the chops into a blender, and blend. You'll be getting a semi thick consistency because of the fibre. Feel free to add a little water if you want it less thick. (Note: you can chose not to blend, but cut the orange lobes into really small bits, and mashing with a fork).
- Transfer the contents of your blender into a big bowl, or some small cups.
- Refrigerate.
- When it is just freezing, take it out and break the freezing chunk, sprinkle some sugar, or add little syrup preferably, inverting and mixing the sorbet properly.
- Refrigerate again.
- Serve to be enjoyedπ
It would be nice to know if you've tried it before π or your experience in making it. Bye guys π.
Pineapple could be added to Orange sorbet to get a Pineapple - orange sorbet, or different other combinations to get fruit sorbet.
