It's a Bigger World When You Look Beyond

Growing up as a child, I believed the whole world was like my homeland, where I had spent most part of my years. I pictured life as the same wherever you go, and opportunity and challenges the same. All that I knew was my environment, and I had never even thought it could be different somewhere else. That perspective changed when I got the opportunity to go to the UK. It was my first real experience abroad, and it fundamentally changed the way I viewed the rest of the world.

From the time I got there, I realised how things were different from my home country. The public infrastructures, the fast yet structured pace of life, and the mix of cultures were unlike anything I had known. There felt like more opportunities, and while you needed to work hard, I realised that their system is made such that it gives you the push towards whatever achievement that seems possible. What became clear to me was the fact that the limitations or the challenges that I once thought were universal were not, what i experienced back home was only something that happened just there.

Then I went to Turkey, a place where East meets West in the most interesting way. The rich history, strong sense of cultural identity, and balance between tradition and modernity gave me even another way of seeing the world. Turkey, like the UK,taught me that every place has its own way of life , and I learned a lot from both countries. The world I knew as just my home country became much bigger than I had imagined when I experienced life in the two countries.

Back home, people take pride in where they come from, and that’s important. But sometimes, that pride creates a sense of limitation. It can be easy to think our way of life is the is all the same everywhere, or that our struggles are also the same. Most people never get the opportunity to travel but should you get the chance to travel out of your "world" go, experience something different. Once you have travelled to other locations, your perspective changes. You start to notice what you once overlooked and have an appreciation for how other societies have constructed their systems for growth and success.

Some people may perceive the world as small, but that only applies to people who haven’t been to other locations around the world. Once you venture out beyond your environment, whether that be through travelling or just exploring other locations on the internet, you see how many possibilities there are. Many still believe that their country’s constraints is what dictate their fates, but the reality is that opportunities abound.

Sometimes, success isn’t where you were born, it’s waiting for you somewhere else. Not everyone is able to travel, but that is no reason you can’t broaden your perspective. Learning about different cultures, industries, opportunities beyond borders can also be done with the aid of the internet technology. The key is to be inquisitive, open-minded, and willingness to see beyond where you were born . The real question is, "are you ready to experience the world beyond your borders?".

Travelling expands our perspective on life in ways that spending our whole life in a single place can't ever do. Definitely relate to the part where opportunities may be waiting for us out there in the world, and unless we intentionally seek it out, we may as well be wasting valuable time on things that are not worthwhile.

It's good to travel if there is a chance to see what's happening in the other side of the world. Just like you rightly said, you expand your perspective on life and you explore other places than just a single location.

Yes,I am ready
I pray I will have the opportunity to travel too

I pray it comes to pass, there is a lot more opportunities out there for everyone to explore
