RE: Mastadon - Another Failed Social Network?

Actually that's the cool part. There are so many different apps for Mastodon and they are all different. It's kind of a playground of ideas, similar to how apps on Twitter used to be way back before Twitter started to demand their apps standardize. I'd love to see if Hive did something similar, with many clients all doing different things. We kind of have that now, but the two big clients (ecency, peakd) are still pretty similar. I guess liketu is pretty different.

Anyway, it's a fun place as long as you aren't hoping for too much. I pop on to respond to some toots (what they call messages) and post one or two of my own for a few minutes every few days, so not much, but it's nice.
