Why do we give the brain more than it can assimilate?

Receive a cordial greeting to all the readers who make life in this community. This time I want to talk to you about a well-known topic that is the brain, but I also want to make a comparison with the stomach and that you can see that there is a similarity with the brain.

everyone knows that they should only add new calories if you have burned the old ones and that if you add and do not burn ... you gain weight. exactly the same thing happens with information. If you add new information without first assimilating the previous one, you unlearn it. just like when it comes to the stomach.

we feed it / digest it / and (only then) add more food to it,
when it comes to the brain we should ...

give information / assimilate / and (only then) add more information.
But for a strange reason, with the brain we skip the second step. time and again we inject new information into it without having retained the old one.

In this way we can see that the human being has always skipped a step and therefore we can see that we only live and live information without seeing what we have processed and that is where we do not see that we are not retaining anything and that is why many Students have a hard time retaining the information given by the teacher.

If knowledge is one of those responsible for success, the 45 ° principle is the main way to acquire it. in this it consists.

Let's take a quadrant like the one in the image above. to the right we project the degree of progress. It represents the new information, the acquisition of information. downward we project the degree of assimilation. represents the old information; consolidation / review of information. the 45 ° principle consists in equating the point of advance with the point of assimilation. Do you want to move down to point 10? perfect, but consolidate down to 10 first.

Do you want to reach 20 (right)? perfect. consolidate until 20 (below). the 30 horizontal with the 30 vertical, and so on. it is a question of balance.

In this way we can see that if we have an outline of all the information that we receive daily, we can observe that our daily information is much and little that we digest.

the stomach has a double mechanism that is responsible for indicating when to advance and when to consolidate. they are hunger and satiety. hunger tells you (come), and satiety tells you stop and (digiere). they are the accelerator and the brake that make you not stop but that you do not crash either. As the brain is not provided in the 45 ° principle, which is named after joining each point on the right with its corresponding one below (10 with 10, 20 with 20, etc.)

a straight line is formed that always leans 45 °, that is, the perfect balance. If we always stop and observe our learning chart, it is where we can determine what we are assimilating and what we need to digest with more time to be able to learn what we need over time.

apply this principle in all acquisition of knowledge. Whenever you want to learn something, ask yourself this question: should I be advancing (adding new information) or consolidating (paying attention to the old one)?

If you have not assimilated the above information, if you have not given life by putting it into practice, it is useless to continue adding. you will saturate the brain and go back instead of going forward. the secret is not to go through one extreme or the other and find the perfect balance.

As I said, we need to move forward, but we need to know that we are digesting all the information that we are extracting in each thing.

They say that the human being uses 1% of his brain and we need to find a way to use the rest of the 99% that remains in our brain.

But in my opinion I say that the human being is using between 40% to 60% because if we start to observe that there are people who have a high percentage of intelligence, when there are others that our brain works little. for that 40% that is determined when that person is not so wise in something, therefore I speculate that the human being is the one who determines what percentage of his brain uses.

Well, I hope this information that I wrote for you is useful. I thank my God for allowing me to write for you. I declare a thousand blessings for all ...

BLESSINGS TO ALL...

This post is so useful and I learnt something I've never known before, you sure do have lots of knowledge about how the brain works and I'm glad to learn some from you today.

I also agree with you that we should treat our brains like our stomach, there's indeed a similarity. I think I'm a perfect example of that, I try to learn so many things all in one day and end up forgetting what I had learnt at the beginning.

Well, I've learnt all I need from you today, I'll try to implement it. Thanks for this post sir.
