How Playground AI can Make You Artist

in Proof of Brain2 years ago

Since last 2 weeks I am testing some of the AI tools that allow you to create some really good art using the prompts. So I thought why not test yet another tool that you can get for free and make it draw things.

Underlying tech behind all of this is known as the stable diffusion. It's an AI tech that is designed to draw the art. So it makes use of the existing images, pre uploaded data and also learned models to draw things.

There are plenty of AI tools coming out that make use of the stable diffusion in the back-end. And it can give you some really good results from the same. I thought why not check out some of the features of one new tool called - Playground AI.

You can check out the playground AI.

At first when you look at the website it would look like any other website in the AI art space. Like say arthub. And the results are however lot different. And the community that is into the art is voting up some specific content.

Now next thing you do is sign up to the website. And the free account would give you 1000 images a month option. And other options are kind of for the paid users and they are good enough for those who wish to create heavy art using the stable diffusion.

Let's move to the next step where you are going to be creating the AI art. Like for that we are making use of the prompt. Basically a text that would define your image. And you would get an idea of what to draw next on the top.

So let's add some content to the prompt field and see what it can give you. So I am adding my content in the prompt field and let's see what it does.

Below is my prompt which I tried to take from another artist to save up some of my time.

Now the job is to hit the generate button. I can also set the dimensions. I can make sure to choose the items to be removed from the prompt. And that would make the image lot more focused based on what we want to draw there.

Let's hit the generate button to see where it would be taking us.

Not bad right? It has all the elements of my prompt. Some more strong over others but it has the world that was in my mind. And it can be pretty cool for anyone who wish to try out on various sizes. As of now however the image size which are bigger limited to the pro plan.

Stable diffusion being the common engine behind all these tools, you would get pretty much same results on all these tools. You have to train the engine and also get similar results. It would be a good task for you to keep trying on the tool.

As the AI gets more trained it can generate the images of the specific type for you. And this is something you would be experimenting with 1000 images per month limit. As of now that seems to be the case for me. I have not hit the limit and most likely 1 more week of usage would do that.

For the game developers this can be a good option to generate some art for their work. And that would be reducing the amount of the effort required for the art and also the cost of generation is low too. But the human artists are going to be starving and it is going to be pretty bad if you ask me.

I hope to try out few more tools next week and I'll update you on the same. If you have tried some of such tools then do let me know in the comments.

Stable diffusion does NOT make you an artist in the same way as ChatGPT does NOT make you a programmer ;)

The post is nice tho :)
