You have lived a life worth emulating, laid a good Legacy, was the talk on the lips of the parents and school but missed it along the line.
Living in past glory.
A teacher of truth, value, culture, and proficiency,
Taught with all his courage and stamina.
Brought forth outcomes through the achievement of his learners. All parents want their wards to pass through him, but he got carried away with self-sufficiency, the fantasy of Life derailed his struggles and things of the world distracted him, the love of money absorbed him. He lost his focus.
Soon he forgot that there are lives needed to be
continually impacted, there is a future that needs to be prepared and nurtured, a generation to be taught morals and values.
Living in past glories
He struggled to attend classes, find it difficult to prepare and improve on himself, little did he know that a young boy will one day prove him to be a champion in frivolity. A little question terrified him and threw him off balance. And what was his response? DO IT AS AN ASSIGNMENT............
Ohh living in past glories...
I comprehended it today doesn't mean it will forever be there. Search for more proficiency and knowledge. Don't stop discovering as information is being updated.
Had I known as the words from his lips, regrets were the food Of his thoughts. Mishap, the result of his laziness.
I will not take chances again. I will do the right things at the right time. I will take the lives of my learners with utmost interest.

This is the life of a nonchalant teacher.
Woow, this is striking. A nonchalant teacher is really going to affect the lives of the students. He needs to update himself if new tools, new truth and new discoveries in his subject are. Students these days are getting ahead of their teachers already, so a nonchalant teacher living in past glory is heading for doom. How are you dear racer? You have been quiet for so long
The truth is that civilization has exposed us to new technology and new knowledge which education needs to be acquainted with. Teachers too need to follow suit to be updated if not students will leave teachers behind as they now have access to new things online.
Teachers need to read wide and be ready for classes to avoid turning questions they can't answer to assignments.

This is a very strong standpoint and I like the fact that it is coming from you because you are also a teacher and you teach in our country Nigeria.
We see this a lot in many scenarios where teachers fumble in front of their students and end up forcing such questions to become an assignment just because of their failure to do their basic research before standing in front of students to teach.
